Frequently Asked Questions

Standalone answers about delivery, returns, bedding sizes, care and checkout — written so you can decide without bouncing between pages.

Orders & shipping

Where do you ship?

We currently ship to addresses within the United States only. Checkout accepts United States delivery addresses; orders to unsupported destinations cannot be completed.

How much is standard shipping?

Standard shipping is free on every eligible Lumenoras order. There is no paid expedited option at checkout right now.

When should my order arrive?

Estimated standard delivery is 10–15 business days after PayPal confirms payment and the order enters processing. Holidays, carrier delays and remote ZIP codes can push a delivery later than the estimate.

Can I change my delivery address?

Submit the Contact form as soon as possible with your order number and the corrected address. We cannot promise a change after fulfillment has started, so act before the parcel ships.

How can I record a question about an order?

Use the Contact form and include your order number plus what you need help with (confirmation, timing, address or a missing parcel). The form stores the request on our server for support handling; it does not email a confirmation or promise a reply timeline.

Returns

What is the return window?

Eligible unused items may be returned within 15 days of delivery. Items should be clean, unused and in resellable condition unless the Refund Policy lists an exception.

How do I request a return?

Use the Contact form with your order number, item name, delivery date and reason. Recording a request is the first step only — wait for handling instructions before mailing anything back.

When will a refund appear?

Approved refunds go to the original PayPal payment method after the returned item is inspected. Card or bank posting time after PayPal processes the refund can take several additional business days.

Products & care

How do Twin, Full, Queen, King and Cal King usually differ?

US bedding sizes describe the mattress footprint the piece is meant to dress. As a practical shopping guide:

  • Twin — narrower single bed; common for kids’ rooms or twin XL dorm beds when labeled Twin/Twin XL.
  • Full (Double) — wider than Twin; better for one adult who wants more room, or occasional shared use.
  • Queen — the most common shared bed size in the US; sheets, duvet covers and comforters labeled Queen are cut for a Queen mattress.
  • King — wider than Queen; choose King when your mattress is a standard Eastern King.
  • California King (Cal King) — longer and slightly narrower than a standard King. Do not assume King and Cal King are interchangeable for fitted sheets or covers.

Many Lumenoras products combine sizes (for example Full/Queen or King/Cal King). Pick the label that includes your mattress size, then confirm any listed dimensions on that product before ordering.

How should I choose fitted sheets vs flat sheets?

A fitted sheet has elastic corners and wraps the mattress — match it to your mattress size (and pocket depth when the product lists one). A flat sheet is the loose top sheet between you and the blanket or duvet. Sheet sets often include both plus pillowcases; stand-alone fitted or flat pieces are useful when you only need to replace one layer. If your mattress is especially tall, prefer products that publish pocket depth and choose the deeper option when offered.

What is the difference between a comforter and a duvet cover?

A comforter (or duvet insert) is the filled, insulated top layer you sleep under. A duvet cover is a washable fabric envelope with an opening and usually corner ties or buttons; it protects the insert and is what you change for color or season. If you already own an insert, shop duvet covers in the matching size. If you want warmth in one piece, shop comforters — many people then add a duvet cover so the insert needs washing less often.

How do color swatches relate to what I will see in person?

On product pages, colors are shown as named swatches plus lifestyle photos. Screens, brightness settings and room lighting all shift how a shade reads, so treat the swatch as a guide rather than a perfect match. Compare the color name with multiple photos on the same product, and if you are matching existing bedding, favor neutrals or order with the 15-day return window in mind for unused items.

Where are care instructions, and what washing habits are usually safe?

Each product page has a Care Instructions (or Care) section with the directions for that item — that section always wins over general advice. Across much of the Lumenoras catalog you will see patterns such as machine wash cold on a gentle cycle, tumble dry low or air fluff, and avoid bleach. Those habits are a useful starting point for many cotton, linen and eucalyptus/lyocell layers, but fills, trims and specialty finishes can differ. Wash similar colors together, do not overload the machine on bulky comforters, and follow the product Care Instructions before the first wash.

Payment

What currency are prices shown in?

All prices and order totals are shown in United States dollars (USD). Taxes are calculated at checkout when applicable.

How is payment completed?

After you review your order and select Pay now, you finish securely on PayPal with the funding options available in your PayPal account. Lumenoras does not collect card numbers on this website.

Do you offer a trial period?

No sleep trial or try-before-you-buy program is offered. Eligible unused items follow the published 15-day return window instead.
